Transfer Credits

The University seeks to recognize your previous academic accomplishments.

• Up to 60 college transfer credits if enrolled in a bachelor's degree program
• Up to 30 hours of college transfer credits if enrolled in an associate's degree program
• Up to 15 hours of graduate-level transfer credits if enrolled in a master's degree program

• Courses taken in the previous University of Advancing Technology Professional Development Center
• Microsoft Cooperation certifications
• Computer Technology Industry Association certifications
• CISCO, Inc. certifications
• Advanced Placement exams
• International Baccalaureate classes

Transfer Credits Process

Transfer credits are evaluated by the University when the student submits unofficial or official school transcripts. The evaluation cannot be done after the end of the student's first semester at UAT. Approval of transfer credits process takes 10-14 days. Students will be contacted with the results. However, all official college transcripts must be on file with UAT's Registrar's office for a student to receive official acceptance to the University.

Advanced Placement Course credits

Students can transfer Advanced Placement courses for credit when a score of 3 or above is earned on the final test. Students must request the AP Board to send an official transcript to UAT. Upon receiving official transcripts from the AP Board, your Enrollment Coordinator will submit the results for evaluation. The UAT school code is 3608.

If you are sending your transcript from UAT to another school, you will need to print and fill out the transcript request form.

Transfer Credit Fees

To obtain transfer credits, there is a one-time $100 transfer credit fee; this applies for the entire transfer credit process and is not charged on a per-class basis. The fee is charged to the student's account.

This fee is separate from the enrollment processing fee.
